International Legal, Tax and Property Advice

John Howell is an internationally recognised expert in the field of helping people who have legal, tax or property problems relating to a country in which they do not live.

He has been doing this work for over 30 years.

John Howell continues to provide consultancy services to a very small number of clients who need help in the fields of international legal and property transactions.  He takes on cases that interest him.  These are not necessarily the largest or most prestigious cases but they will usually either be difficult or unusual in some way.

Author, Speaker and Broadcaster

He has written many books on the subject - including 2 volumes of the legal text book Butterworths Encyclopaedia of Forms and Precedents, the Cadogan Guide to Starting a Business in France and the Sunday Times Guides to Buying Property in Spain, France, Portugal, Italy, Turkey, Eastern Europe and the United States.

He also appears regularly on television and in seminars as an expert in his field and writes extensively for the professional and general press.
